well lookie at the new paint viper red,,, fitting for a rattler i think...

Thursday, May 13, 2010

after much mod'ing of the new intake and using JB Weld to reshape the intake to fit over the bolt iv got it mounted with the 26mm carb on it... very strong but boggs down at very high rpm,,, need new gears bigtime... this is not going to be easy finding some that well fit and work,,, might have to have some made...

well some new parts have arrived... 32mm intake,,, rollers,,, Nos kit,,, fuel cock... got the Nos installed in the airbox being im waiting on a carb thats going to work with this new intake... Nos does give it a boost but for only about a sec. ,,, it cools the cylinder too much it needs much much more fuel in order for the Nos to really make it happen...

ok so far so good with runin,,, working on my 500mile mark,,, iv done another airbox mod that really allows better airflow as well as gives me a wet foam filter for a 2t that i feel all 2ts should have... paper filter on a 2t engine is just not smart in my idea... anyway bike is strong on takeoff clutch still gives me a little jurking at times,,, but this little puppy well fly... also here is a picture of the first 3 plugs,,,100 miles each left to right,,, right one is getting a little lean with airbox mod iv richend it up...

Tuesday, March 30, 2010

tested plugs yesterday and i found that the bpr8hs works very well at mid to high rpm's... the bpr6hs has lots of lower end power but some say might be to hot for the engine... its running sweet cept for the clutch that i just can not get tuned out to not jump as it fully hits...

ah gee more trouble

well the other day took off on a nice warm afternoon and got about 5 miles from the house and the Rattler shut down... had to push it about a mile and walk the rest to get my van and son and go pick up the bike...

took it to the shop and long story short the rings fried on the piston...
with luck my tech had a cylinder kit that he had polished the port...
its back running better than every cept for the clutch giving me a bite jurk on takeoff... with rain in the forcast,,, rats....

i went and bought a motorcycle wheel balancing tool today and balanced the front tire... was way to wet to ride with new tires,,, maybe tomorrow... i well still add the Dyna Beads when they come in...

Wednesday, March 10, 2010

new tires painted and mounted,,, waiting on some Dyna Beads to balance the tire (I hope)... On the way home i hit an all time high mph of 72 downhill in front of Charlotte Motor Speedway... ah whatz next??? better weather would be nice...

Sunday, February 28, 2010

well its back together again,,, runs very well,,, i took it out on a test drive today and it has stopped jurking and bucking which is a happy thang... ill play with the springs in the clutch to see if i can get a smother takeoff other than that im happy... cept for all the money and time i spent from making mistakes and potholes...

Big trouble in china town!!!

well with new parts installed and testing the many clutch adjustments thats avalable,,, i hit a newly extra cold winter made pothole and broke both the bolts that hold the pipe to the head... which in turn required removing the engine in order to drill out and retap the threads in the head... as well as i got another pipe that well help in allowing the engine to breath better and weighs about 10 lbs less... now to put it all back together...

ready to go back together...

Monday, February 22, 2010

new parts for the Rattler,,, clutch virator and belt,,, two new tires for the future...

Saturday, January 23, 2010

this is the Rebel Yell!!! 2007 TGB Keywest modded 49.3cc 2 stroke... when set up it will hit 70mph normal cruse speed 45/50mph... amazing part no matter how i drive it i get 130mpg...

Tuesday, January 19, 2010

Yesterday was a wonderfully nice day to scoot 65 and sunny... so i did... took the Rebel Yell out for a ride around Concord... Nice Day!!! I did a mod on the stock pipe where i welded a 9/16th nut on the pipe and drilled a hole through the nut... It work wonderful... not near as loud as the MRP racing pipe that wakes up the dead,,, yet it allows pressure to be released in order to reach higher RPM's... Today is going to be just as nice as yesterday just a little cooler (63)

Clean Air!!! went to the dr. the other day with a sore throat and he said alot of it was from particals from riding the bike... you nose is not good enough filter for the dust and trash that is in the air on a roadway,,, your engine has an airfilter you need an airfilter he said... so im looking for something a little fashionable to wear other than a blue or white mask... i hope this helps me in the future and that little damage is done to my throat and lungs...

Warming

yep thats right we are feeling the effects of globle warming this winter and prob. the next 3 or 4 winters... what happens is the heat from globle warming is melting the icecaps faster than norm,,, now you have extra cool air... but globle warming is a normal thing its been going on for millions of years... but yes us southern humans dont like it this cold for this long,,, harder to play with our outside toys...
